- 2024 Club Fund Raiser: The club held its annual fund raiser on August 10th, at My House Lounge, 8075 Culebra Rd. Here are the results for the Raffle: 6. Igloo - Jorge Alvarez, 5. Falcon Rod w/ Lews reel - Kris Scullion, 4. OCD Fishing Trip - Dan Leach - graciously returned to prize pool, new winner Kris Scullion, 3. Trika Rod w/ Daiwa - Chris L, 2. SOL M4-EXO3 - D'Ann Richards, 1. Hunt - Kayla O'Rourke. Thanks to all for their support and participation. Special shout out to Butch Scarborough for his efforts.
- Congratulations to Daniel Buchheit for placing second in the non-boater category at the 2024 State championship. He has qualified to fish in the Bassmaster National Championship in 2025. Daniel also landed the co-angler Big Bass (7.60#) of the tournament. Pictures on photos page.
- 2024 Catch a Special Thrill (CAST) Event: On Sunday, April 28th the club held their 2024 CAST for Kids event at Morgan's Wonderland. See pictures.
- 2023 Club Raffle – Winners of the raffle were: 1st Prize: 2 1/2 Day Guided Hunt - Wayne Orender. 2nd Prize: Sons of Liberty M4-76-16 - Brandon Edmiston. 3rd Prize: Sons of Liberty M4 - EXO - Torrey Aiken. 4th Prize: Sons of Liberty Patrol SL-16 - Johnny Hernandez. 5th Prize: full day Bass fishing or electronics class, on Canyon Lake - Bob Meder. 6th Prize: Game on Guide Service - 1/2 Day (4 hour) guided fishing trip on Canyon Lake - Hud Hargroder. Thanks to all participants and sponsors.
- **New Club Record**: Tom Nilssen caught a 13.31 pound ShareLunker (13.52 pounds on ShareLunker scales) on O.H. Ivie on January 15, 2023, to set the new QBC big bass club record.

- 2022 San Antonio Food Bank Donation – Club Treasurer Steve Fletcher and a representative from the San Antonio Food Bank hold a giant check representing the $500 donated by Quality Bass Club.

- Kill Switch Law: The law requires that boat operators of a motor boat 26 feet or less in length be physically connected to a boat’s emergency shutoff switch (safety lanyard). It went into effect on September 1, 2019.
- Zebra Mussel Rules Now Expanded Statewide. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission has approved a new regulation requiring that all boats operating on public fresh water anywhere in Texas be drained before leaving or approaching a lake or river to help combat the further spread of zebra mussels and other invasive species. - Quality Bass Club granted tax exemption: The Internal Revenue Service determined QBC meets tax exempt status under code 501(c)(7) as a Sports and Recreation organization. See letter.
- Remember, boat insurance is everyone's responsibility. Please keep your policy current.
- Effective January 2008, Mexico boat permits are no longer required. See story.
- 1988-2023 Quality Bass Club celebrated thirty-five years.

- 2023 Catch a Special Thrill (CAST) Event: On Sunday, May 28th the club held their 2023 CAST for Kids event at Morgan's Wonderland presented by Quality Bass Club in memory of Ruben Arevalos. See pictures.
- 2022 Club Raffle – Held October 29th. Winners were: Grand Prize - Robert Brieden; Second Prize - Thane Bishop; Third Prize - Tom Nilssen; Fourth Prize - Jason Schneider and Fifth Prize - Robert Meder. Thanks to everyone for their support.
- 2022 Catch a Special Thrill (CAST) for Kids Event: Sunday, April 24, 2022, the club held a CAST for Kids event at Morgan's Wonderland. It was presented by Quality Bass Club in Memory of Lyle Crawford. See pictures.(Click on Photo of Lyle for Tribute Album)
- 2021 Catch A Special Thrill (C.A.S.T.) for Kids: Quality Bass Club, Texas Farm Bureau, Catch a Special Thrill (C.A.S.T.) For Kids, and Morgan's Wonderland held a CAST for Kids event 23 May 2021. Each child received a fishing rod and reel, tacklebox, T-shirt, ballcap, and a personalized plaque to remember their special day. This event was designed to provide children with special needs, ages 5-17, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. See pictures.
